Sunergos Coffee

If you're in Louisville and not drinking Sunergos Coffee, you're wrong.  Fact.
After my initial discovery of this glorious coffee establishment last spring, it instantly became my "Mecca of java" among Louisville's vast coffeehouse landscape.  The simple, yet eclectic atmosphere inside their Preston St. location is amazing.  Pair this with a friendly staff of baristas/the best coffee you'll ever taste and you've got a recipe for success.  As they put it:

"Our work in coffee grew out of an enjoyment of it, and a desire to be intimately acquainted with the processes that result in an exceptional cup.  Before we were a roastery, we were home roasters, learning the craft of coffee in the company of our families and friends.  With the purchase of our first roaster, and the formation of Sunergos Coffee, roasting naturally became central to our business.  Throughout the life of Sunergos we have enjoyed participating in a diverse community of people who regularly come together around coffee.  Out of the fabric of this daily coffee community, people have emerged to join us in our work, enriching and being enriched through working together.  The work of Sunergos continues to grow as each person engages their craft, from the roastery to the espresso bar."

Make sure to try the Sulawesi if you can (my personal favorite).
