Charlie Chaplin; Fantastic
In a 70 year old comedy, Charlie Chaplin plays the role of a poor Jewish barber mistaken for Adolph Hitler. This is a speech Charlie gives at the end of the movie that seems like it fits pretty well with the events of the world today.

Slider, You Stink.
Call Kenny Loggins because you're in the Danger Zone. Seriously though, if you have never seen Top Gun, there just may be something wrong with you. If it's any incentive, Tom Cruise does belt out the greatest bar pickup scene of all time:
Go watch Top Gun, now. It's America. It's good triumphing over evil. It's funny.

Hold Me Closer, Tiny Dancer
We've all belted this one out in our car before; don't lie. This is Elton John's famous song "Tiny Dancer" in one of the most memorable sing-along scenes in movie history:

We reached 1,000 page-views during the course of the night ... I guess that's pretty nifty.
Something yesterday inspired me to revisit the 1998 classic, Saving Private Ryan.
Lastly, I've started re-watching all five seasons of HBO's hit series The Wire (2002-2008). If you have the means, Omar Little (below) and I highly recommend you do the same.

Mirror Filter
Wow. This video was made using a mirror filter on a camera mounted to the hood of a car. It's fantastic to say the least:

Life Lessons: Slap Shot (1977)
It took this avid hockey fan way too long to finally see this movie ... don't make the same mistake. Here's some of the great things you will learn:
(Don't let the picture fool you; it's a comedy.)
1. It may be "their rink, their ice, and their *expletive* town," but if you got your fans with you, you can never go wrong. Paul said it best: let 'em know you're there.
2. "Two minutes, by yourself, and, you know, you feel shame, you know. And then you get free." This too shall pass.
3. Never interrupt the national anthem:
4. If Ned Braden taught us anything in this movie, it's that good things happen when you party naked.
5. Just never cross Paul Newman. He'll always get the best of you. If you haven't already done so, immediately watch The Sting (1973) and Cool Hand Luke (1967).

Anonymous (2011)
If you're like me, this movie trailer won't make you want to go back to high school English class and re-read all of Shakespeare's famous works. Nonetheless, I am looking forward to the October 28th release date:

Caffeinated Popcorn
Yes, you did read that correctly. Ever have trouble staying awake through a movie? Need a little boost but hate coffee? Solution:
Taste-wise, Biofuel teeters between salty and sweet, a la Kettle corn, while packing a 150 to 200mg wallop of caffeine per bag (roughly two energy drinks worth of jitter juice). That makes each of the bag’s 4.5 suggested servings basically equivalent to a cup of coffee. Wolfing down the entire bag, on the other hand, is closer to downing a fistful of methamphetamine or 1/4th of a can of Four Loko.

A Game of Shadows (December 2011):
I absolutely loved the first one, and this can't come out soon enough. ACH.
