That's Impressive

A lady foils an attempted burglary at her home simply by watching it unfold.  Eat your heart out COPS because this lady just beat the system:

Charlie Chaplin; Fantastic

In a 70 year old comedy, Charlie Chaplin plays the role of a poor Jewish barber mistaken for Adolph Hitler. This is a speech Charlie gives at the end of the movie that seems like it fits pretty well with the events of the world today.

Steve Jobs' Car

Did you know Steve Jobs' Mercedes never had a permanent license plate?

"Steve (or someone close to him) spotted a loophole in the California vehicle laws.  Anyone with a brand new car had a maximum of six months to affix the issued number plate to the vehicle.  So Jobs made an arrangement with the leasing company; he would always change cars during the sixth month of the lease, exchanging one silver Mercedes SL55 AMG for another identical one.  At no time would he ever be in a car as old as six months; and thus there was no legal requirement to have the number plates fitted.
One might also assume that the leasing company was happy – they had an endless supply of luxury cars to on-sell with the previous driver being none-other that Steve Jobs.
That would be a win-win-win situation for Steve, the leasing company and for the subsequent buyer."

Joe Frazier

Rest In Peace

Joe Frazier passed away yesterday from liver cancer at the age of 67.  The former heavyweight champion of the world will be remembered as one of the greatest fighters of all time.  He was involved in the most memorable trilogy of fights in history with Muhammad Ali.

"Joe Frazier would come out smoking.  If you hit him, he liked it." -George Foreman

Organic Tracks

Organic Tracks is a national radio show that features "naturally acoustic music" from today's best artists.  The program's extensive music library contains many hard-to-find acoustic and unplugged recordings.  These stripped-down tracks offer two of the most tranquil hours of my week.  Check out the show's website, which contains weekly updates and playlists.  In Louisville, the show runs from 10am - 12pm on 102.3 FM (The Max).
